Decoding Myself through VIPASSANA Meditation

Hey guys, I know I was off from you all for atleast 3 weeks. The reason being I was attending a 10-days course of Vipassana Meditation at Dhamma Giri, Igatpuri, India. Vipassana is a most ancient and pure meditation technique with very practical approach. Now it is taught by S. N. Goenka in the tradition of Sayagyi U Ba Khin across many countries.

First I was not sure about taking this course, because I did not want to fall into any more stupid religion-related talks. I was tired of hearing and practicing them. But since I had read a book on Vipassana - The Art of Living by Bill Hart by VRI Publications which explains in brief what and what not Vipassana is. So I thought to give Vipassana a shot. And I am glad that I did it!
After experiencing it I can say it is atleast one try for every human being. Two things that I like about Vipassana is,
  1. It is universal technique NOT related to any religion, caste, tribe or nationality.
  2. NO talks. NO books. ONLY practicing and experiencing the changes by yourself.
That's what make it pure.

Why to do it?
It will help you in any, I mean ANY part of your life right from bringing-up children, fighting fear, concentrating in studies/ work, reducing anxiety, controlling anger, maintaining balance in your personal and professional life, drug addiction, building confidence and any small or big issues in one's life. Even many common ailments such as hypertension, ulcers, acidity, headaches, etc. are automatically cured as a by-product of the cleansing process of Vipassana.
If you ask me did it helped in any way? My answer will be YES!! I have reduced my anxiety level drastically. Now I am less fearful of darkness. My knee pain has reduced. I know what (more precisely who) to blame in bad situations. I feel more happy and energetic.
So I encourage you all to give it a try atleast once. It's centres are speared all over the world from India to Australia and Europe to Russia. To know more about them go to www.dhamma.org.
..... and yes I will be back with all those easy-vesy DIYs, Organizations and Celebrations yet again. So wait and watch for the next post!!
Love You all!! Muah....
