Hello all, wish you a very Happy Diwali! We are almost there for the Big Diwali day. And I'm so excited about it. My most favorite part during Diwali is drawing rangolis (designed pattern filled with color powders).

I was first introduced to Rangoli by my Grandmother and since then I love drawing rangoli in traditional way (using white and color powders). But as there are always innovation that comes in every craft, rangoli do have its own. Kundan Rangoli, Artificial flower rangoli, Stencil rangoli and many more(I will talk about them in other posts) are some to mention.

So today I'm sharing one of Rangoli innovations - KUNDAN RANGOLI - or Rhinestone design patternsAlso this one is the third and last post of DIWALI SERIES. In the first post of the series there is traditional Marigold Flower Garland tutorial, followed by modern decoration idea Wine Glass-Diya Centerpiece in second post.

As I promised all these DIYs are easy to make and affordable too!! So go ahead view the simple rangoli designs which are portable, durable and easy to use.

Usually done on different shaped MDF/ wooden sheet. But lately OHP sheets (clear sheets) are also widely used.

What I used :

  1. Kundan/ Rhinestone
  2. MDF/ Wooden sheet (Mostly thin, any shape)
  3. Shiny strings
  4. Glue
  5. Scissor
  6. Tweezer
  7. Color paint (I used Acrylic paint)
  8. Paint brush
